Yegor Titov and Andrei Tikhonov to Lokomotiv Astana
By: j | February 17th, 2009In a surprising move, Russian internationals Yegor Titov and Andrei Tikhonov have agreed to two year contracts with Lokomotiv Astana of the Kazakhstan Premier League. In signing two ex-Spartak Moscow captains the new club which formed with the merger the merger of FC Megasport and FC Alma-Ata will immediately will be considered a title threat. Andrei Tikhonov moved on from FC Krylya Sovetov Samara while Yegor Titov comes over from Khimki, who he joined mid last season and help save from relegation.
Lokomotiv Astana begins play March 7 against FC Kazakhmys and will feature in the new Europa League.
