Spartak Moscow edged Croatian powerhouse Dinamo Zagreb 1-0 at Maksimir Stadium with Russian international Ivan Saenko providing the winning strike at the seventy-fifth minute from the edge of the area. The match was extremely tight with near perfect defending and very few scoring opportunities. With the victory for Michael Laudrup’s side leaps to third place of Group D, three points behind Udinese and Tottenham. Spartak returns to UEFA Cup against NEC Nijmegen on December 3.
