Samara Kryliya Sovetov v Khimki match review
By: j | September 13th, 2008I’m going to keep this very simple and straight forward because I’m all-in with Samara Kryliya Sovetov with this match and do not feel that Khimki can stop this machine. Krysy is closing in on a Champions League bid and Khimki is doomed for relegation. I do expect Khimki to be motivated by pride and put on a good showing but an upset is not in the cards (no reference to France’s wacky Raymond Domenech)

Leonid Slutsky’s Krysy will attract ruthlessly in a crisp 3-5-2 with Yevgeny Savin and veteran Jan Koller teamed up at striker. Their midfield of Ruslan Adzhindzhal, Anton Bober and Andrei Tikhonov with Czech Republic veteran JJiří Jarošík and Oleg Ivanov will clamp down the midfield and I expect very little, if any, notable attacks on their goal. Khimki hasn’t scored in two matches, while the only goals against Krysy in the last five matches came at the hands at Zenit Saint Petersburg. If there is a silver lining for Khimki (and I’m really searching for one), they play better away from home and certainly have nothing to lose, so they can be expected to attack at will.
I will report on it once it concludes.
