Pavel Pogrebnyak is not optimistic

To say Pavel Pogrebnyak is not optimistic of Zenit Saint Petersburg’s chances of advancing in the Champions League is an understatement. In a UEFA interview he noted:

“We have no chance of qualifying for the knockout stage.”

“We do not have the skills to score more than one goal, but whatever people think, we deserved more than to lose both games.”

“It was very tough for us as the Real players were very tight on us and pressed up from their goal. Real (Madrid) are a very classy team and they proved that today.”

Zenit captain Anatoliy Tymoshchuk however commented that “”lack a bit of luck, so we have to work even harder from now on
