As Lokomotiv Moskva gets ready to launch their campaign in the opening match of the Russian season against Khimki Saturday afternoon, they will do so with the Danish Superligaen’s leading goalscorer, Odense BK striker Baye Djiby Fall.

The Senegalese international joins the Lokomotiv side that are not short on goals. Speaking to UEFA, captain Diniyar Bilyaletdinov said:

“We’ll be looking to win the league and cup. I expect a big leap forward. I don’t want to remember our failures. The new season is a new start.”

For the twenty-three year old striker Baye Djiby Fall, who is a by-product of AJ Auxerre’s extraordinary youth development program, he is encouraged by the opportunity. The goal-scoring phenom said of the chance to move to the great Moskva club:

“I was very happy in Denmark but there are some offers you just cannot avoid. I think I’m making a big step up and, hopefully, will adapt very fast to a new team.”
