After starring for La Furia Roja in their historic Euro 2008 victory, the former Real Mallorca man joined Luis Aragonés is Istanbul for a fee of €14m. While this report has not been confirmed with any source at Zenit, given the Turkish side’s troublesome first half that has seen them fall short of the Champions League goals it is quite possible that they would look at this as a opportunity to re-coup their investment and re-direct funds.
