even though its your birthday €30m is a lot

Since coming over from Portuguese powerhouse Sporting, Danny (Danny Miguel Alves Gomes) has been a stalwart performer for the club. Reliable in his performance and a solid team member, his diligent work in the midfield as played a large role in the success of Dinamo Moscow the past few years. While many looked towards now Manchester City striker Jô as the catalyst, along with Igor Semshov, Kirill and Dmitri Kombarov, they make up a perfectly balanced midfield that can drive the team to victory at any level.

Of course that hasn’t went unnoticed by other clubs and it has been bantered around that Zenit St. Petersburg would like to see him in their lineup. However as talks proceeded, the asking price from Dinamo, per Zenit, is €30m. While Zenit still wishes to do the deal, that price-point isn’t what they had in mind. Personally, I am hopefully he stays at Dinamo because as their striker situation continues to evolve, he will ground the attack as they push forward in the title race and chances of European glory.

And on another it’s Danny’s birthday. Not bad, twenty-five and valued at €30m…

I will continue to monitor the situation and update as further information is available.
